Mediumship

Living with the Gift of Mediumship | Managing Sensitivity in Everyday Life

To live with the gift of mediumship is to live with heightened sensitivity. It is not simply about communicating with Spirit during a reading or demonstration. It is about walking through the world with a finely tuned awareness—emotionally, intuitively, and energetically. Many people assume mediumship “turns on” only during a session. But I find that my sensitivity is woven into daily life. I may feel the emotional atmosphere of a room the moment I enter it. Or I may sense when someone is struggling, even before they speak. I find it second nature to notice subtle shifts in tone, posture, or vibration that others may overlook. However, without awareness and management, this can become overwhelming. Sensitive mediums can feel drained after conversations, carry emotions that are not their own, or experience sudden mood shifts that seem to come from nowhere. The nervous system of a medium is often highly responsive. When we are trained to blend with Spirit, we can also unconsciously blend with the living. How to manage the gift of being sensitive Learning to manage this gift is essential, and it is something I have had to consciously practice in my own life. I have learned that I need quietness around my home. I do not tolerate a lot of loud noise or constant hustle and bustle. My environment matters deeply. When there is too much external stimulation, I feel it immediately in my body and mind. Creating a peaceful home is not a luxury for me. It is a necessity for my well being and for maintaining clarity in my connection with Spirit. I have also discovered that early nights are incredibly important. Rest strengthens not only my own sanity, but also my spiritual connection. When I am overtired, my sensitivity becomes reactive rather than refined. When I am rested, the connection feels pure, steady, and natural. Protecting my sleep is part of protecting my gift. Family time is equally important. Being present with my family anchors me into real, tangible life. It reminds me that while I work with Spirit, I live here in relationship, laughter, shared meals, and quiet evenings. That balance keeps me healthy and grounded. One of the most important practices is intentional opening and closing. Just because you can sense does not mean you must always remain open. Before a reading, I consciously open myself to Spirit. When the work is complete, I gently close and return fully to my own energy. This simple act creates healthy spiritual boundaries that are much needed in my life as a psychic and medium. Grounding the body is equally important. Mediumship is spiritual, but it moves through the physical system. Eating well, hydrating, walking outdoors, breathing deeply, and resting the nervous system are necessary for sensitive souls. A strong body supports a balanced spiritual life, and this is something I strive for in my daily practice. The gift of mediumship is sacred. It allows for deep compassion, accurate connection, and soul level understanding. But the true mastery of this gift is not only in communicating with Spirit—it is in living well with it. You Truly Can’t Make This Stuff Up | Spirit Communication with Evidence!

One of the most beautiful—and frankly astonishing—parts of mediumship is the moment Spirit drops in with a piece of information that is so specific, so unexpected, and so deeply personal that there is absolutely no way I could have known it. These moments arrive with a kind of sacred clarity, reminding me time and time again that we are not alone, that love continues, and that the soul remains vividly aware. Specific Examples of Spirit Sharing Personal Details There was a reading I’ll never forget, partly to do the healing it brought the sitter. A sitter’s dear friend came forward—someone she had worked with for many years at The Bay. Their friendship was rich and loyal, filled with the kind of connection that carries on long after the physical world fades. As her friend in Spirit blended with me, she showed me an image of a handmade teddy bear. Not just any bear—Spirit zoomed me directly into the stitching, making it clear that it had been lovingly sewn by hand. When I shared this, the sitter immediately knew who it was. And then Spirit gave me another layer: burn marks. I hesitated, wondering why I kept seeing scorched fabric. The sitter’s eyes filled with emotion as she confirmed the teddy bear had been lost in a house fire. This was the kind of evidence that humbles you—detailed, emotional, and absolutely impossible to guess. Another vivid moment came when I was serving as the guest medium at a church in Duncan. A gentleman in Spirit stepped forward for someone in the audience, full of personality and mischief. Suddenly, he showed me a very specific action: pushing his dentures out with his tongue. He had me mimic it right there in front of the entire church! The audience erupted with laughter, and the sitter instantly recognized the exact gesture. That moment wasn’t just evidence—it was pure joy, a memory brought to life. And then there are the quieter but equally extraordinary moments when Spirit shows me personal items down to the finest detail—jewelry, estate pieces, treasured objects. I once brought through a man who described his celebration of life so clearly it felt like I was standing there. He showed me family gathered on a beach, music drifting in the air, the wind moving through everyone’s hair, and the sense of love that wrapped around the entire gathering. When the sitter confirmed every detail, it was undeniable; he had been there with them in Spirit. The Spirit World Offers Undeniable Unique Evidence What strikes me most in these moments is not just the accuracy, but the care. The spirit world does not bring forward random tidbits. They bring evidence that heals, reconnects, and awakens something in the heart. They choose memories that are unmistakably theirs—gestures, scents, scenes, objects—because they want their loved ones to know without a single doubt, “Yes, it’s me. I’m still here.” These experiences are reminders that mediumship is far more than information. It is relationship. It is continuity. When Spirit brings forward evidence so precise and heartfelt, it becomes clear that love doesn’t end—it evolves, expands, and continues to participate in our lives. These experiences remind me why I do this work. When Spirit brings forward evidence so precise and heartfelt, it becomes clear that love doesn’t end—it evolves. And truly… you can’t make this stuff up. If you enjoyed this blog, and want to read more, please visit here. My Daughter’s Experience With Her Cousin In Spirit

There are moments in life when the veil between this world and the next feels just a little thinner. Moments where love — pure, unwavering, eternal — quietly makes itself known. Our spirit loved ones do not interfere with our free will, nor do they live our lives for us. But they do walk beside us, offering encouragement, comfort, and gentle signs to remind us that we are supported. Recently, my daughter experienced one of these meaningful moments, and with her blessing, I’d like to share it with you. A Special Bond Beyond This World My daughter has always held a beautiful belief in the continuity of life and the presence of Spirit. Among those she feels closest to is her cousin, Ruby Lee, whose spirit continues to inspire love, strength, and connection within our family. Their bond did not end with physical passing — it simply shifted into a deeper, quieter form. So when my daughter walked into one of the most important days of her academic life — an entrance exam — she carried not only preparation and determination, but also the quiet comfort of knowing Ruby was close. A Moment of Quiet Guidance During the exam, she faced a challenging question and found herself genuinely torn between two answers. In that split second of uncertainty, she did something that speaks to the depth of her faith and her heart. Silently, she reached out and said: “Ruby, can you please help me? If this is the right answer, can someone cough?” Within moments, in the quiet and focused room, someone coughed. It was a small thing — almost ordinary on the surface — but to my daughter, it was a loving reminder: You are not alone. I’m with you. With renewed confidence and a calm heart, she chose her answer and continued the exam feeling supported, grounded, and empowered. Spirit Does Not Give Us Answers — Spirit Gives Us Strength It’s important to understand this moment for what it truly was: Not a spirit interfering with a test, but love stepping forward when it was needed most. Spirit does not take our challenges away. But they do: The cough was not about choosing an answer. It was about reminding her she was supported — and capable. The Power of Love and Trust This experience wasn’t about testing spirit communication. It was about trust, comfort, and connection. Ruby did what our loved ones in Spirit often do: she wrapped my daughter in quiet reassurance so she could continue with calm confidence. And in that moment, my daughter didn’t feel alone in a room full of strangers — she felt connected to love. That is the gift of Spirit. That is the beauty of knowing our loved ones continue. A Gentle Reminder We don’t need grand signs or dramatic moments to feel Spirit. Sometimes, it’s a soft cough in a silent room. Sometimes it’s a feeling, a memory, a whisper of comfort in a moment of doubt. When our hearts are open, and our intention is rooted in love, the spirit world finds the most beautiful ways to let us know: “We are here. We see you. We believe in you.” Ruby continues to shine through our lives, not in physical form, but in the way love always finds us — even in exam rooms on ordinary afternoons. And for that, we are deeply grateful.

The Role of Evidence in Mediumship Readings

Mediumship offers comfort, healing, and reassurance to those seeking a connection with their loved ones who have passed. At the heart of every genuine reading lies one essential element: evidence. Evidence is what separates true mediumship from general intuition—it provides the clarity and validation that Spirit is indeed present and communicating. What Is Evidence in Mediumship? Evidence in mediumship refers to the specific, verifiable details a medium shares about the life or personality of a loved one in Spirit. These can include physical descriptions, shared memories, items of importance, hobbies, mannerisms, or can even favorite sayings. The more accurate and personal the information, the stronger the evidence—and the closer the connection to Spirit becomes. For example, a medium may describe a loved one’s distinct laugh, a special item left behind, or a meaningful habit. These details are instantly recognizable to the sitter and help confirm that the communication is authentic. Why Evidence Matters Evidence is important because it builds trust—not only between the medium and the sitter, but also between the sitter and their loved ones in the spirit world. When accurate details come through, the sitter gains confidence that their loved one is truly present. This validation opens the heart, making it easier to receive the deeper messages of love, healing, and reassurance. Without evidence, a reading can feel vague or generalized. While uplifting, it may lack the same power that comes from recognizing the unique evidence. Evidence transforms belief into knowing, and for those who may be skeptical, it offers something more tangible to consider about the continuation of life after death. A Path to Healing Grief often leaves people with unanswered questions and a deep yearning to know their loved ones are safe and at peace. Evidence in a mediumship reading can bring immense comfort by showing that their personality, quirks, and memories remain intact in Spirit. For many, hearing even a single specific detail is a moment of profound healing. It’s not only about proving survival beyond death—it’s about being reminded that love continues, even when physical life has ended. The Balance of Evidence and Message From my perspective, evidence is a critical part of a reading, but it is not the only part. Evidence builds the foundation and assures the sitter their loved one is present. Once that connection is clear, the deeper purpose unfolds: Spirit’s messages of love, reassurance, encouragement, and sometimes gentle guidance. The most meaningful readings balance both—clear evidence of Spirit’s essence, combined with heartfelt messages that nurture the soul. In the end, evidence serves as the key that opens the door to healing. Once that door is open, love flows freely between this world and the next, reminding us that love, like life itself, never dies.

Being Skeptical of Mediums is Healthy

For many of us who start down the path of learning and investigating the world of spirit and the afterlife, it is important always to keep a healthy line of questioning when having a reading with a medium. A medium is a person who blends with the soul of those who have passed before us and is able to communicate the deceased information. Many of us come to a medium due to a significant loss in our life, and when we open up to a medium and allow the sitting to occur, we of course will be skeptical at first. This is normal and often people who are new to these readings are asking questions such as, “Is my family member with me?”  or “Is my family member okay?” These are normal questions that we ask a medium. We want to know our family is okay and that they are with us always.   I have been a practicing medium for many years and feel that it is very responsible of the individual who wants a reading to be skeptical until enough evidence is received that is unquestionable and undeniable for them. This is a positive attribute and something we often see in this line of work. Meeting a client and having them be somewhat skeptical is actually a good thing, because it means if a piece of information does undeniably resonate with them, it will be that much more profound and healing for them. In a mediumship reading, a medium should be able to relay information to the client about personal attributes, likes and dislikes, providing evidence and information that only the person in spirit and the client would know. The medium is responsible for relaying information from spirit that can come in many forms such as feeling, sensing, hearing sounds, seeing, and even smelling. It is up to the medium to gather the information and relay the information as accurately as possible. When a medium is inaccurate, and this does happen, it’s often because the medium is interpreting the information incorrectly.    For some clients, there is a belief that a medium is like a telephone line with clear and decisive information from the spirit world. However, as a medium, I know that we do not have a telephone line but rather, a sensory ability that allows us to feel and sense the spirit world. This is where interpretation of the sensory information is very important. Ideally, a working medium who has worked with spirit for many years will have a better understanding of how the spirit world communicates and is able to rely information with higher level of accuracy then a medium that is just starting off in their journey. When meeting with a medium, regardless of how much time the medium has been working with their mediumship development, a client should always have a healthy normal amount of skepticism, as this allows oneself to question and be present for the information received. It’s very important to know that a client should always respond “Yes,” “No” and “I do not know” as per my blog here, as this helps the medium and provides clarity to the reading.   For some people, seeing one medium may not be enough to fully appreciate the spirit world, and in this case, if a client continues to be skeptical, I will suggest that they see other mediums to gain more evidence from the spirit world. It is always good to be skeptical about a lot of what we do in life, and mediumship should not be any different. What is the difference between spirits and ghosts? Do spirits haunt places?

These are wonderful questions! This has come up time and time again as people question the difference between a ghost and a spirit.  People are often confused or unsure about ghosts and spirits, which leads often to a fear of the unknown. I hope to alleviate any fears in this blog post and give you my honest opinion as an experience medium myself. I have learned and experienced throughout my teachings and my practice that a spirit is the soul of someone who has lived a life, passed before us, and is close to the earth by the love of family that are left behind. The love we have for our family here on earth is what keeps our spirit family close in the spirit world, and vice versa. For example, if a son passes to the spirit world and he has a deep love of his family, his spirit will stay close to the family left behind here on earth, whom he loves very much. He will be there to encourage and support his family, and send love to them through signs, symbols and an awareness that he is close. He would also be able to communicate through a medium to connect with family, due to the mutual love he shares with his family. The communication and ability to communicate through a medium is greater because of this love from both sides.  On the other hand, ghosts are memories, atmospheres and energies left behind. People often talk about going into old buildings, hotel rooms, cold boardrooms, and abandoned places, and because of their own sensitivities and awareness, they may feel the energy that is left in a room or building. This often manifests as feelings of goosebumps or hair standing on end, feelings of fear or unease, feeling unsure, or simply other emotions like sadness. Some individuals will feel the energy of a woman or man, a child, an elder, or even a dog, and they may understand that something happened in this room or building. That is the energy that is left behind, often termed as a ghost. So a ghost is an energy that is left over after someone has passed, but it is not the soul of the person. Sometimes when someone dies tragically or in a difficult situation, the energy of a place or person can be left over and those who are more sensitive than others will feel the energy. A weird strange feeling in a home or building, or even an old argument in a room that happened years ago between the deceased when they were alive with another person, can be enough to make one feel that there is a ghost close by. This remnant energy is often only felt by people who are very sensitive naturally. To conclude: A ghost is simply the energy left over from an event or person.A spirit is the soul of the person who has passed to the spirit world.  Lastly, I do want to clarify that spirits do not haunt places. This is not what our family and friends in spirit want for us.  Consider this—would your grandmother, grandfather, mother, father, sister, brother, aunt, uncle, or close friend want to bring fear into your life by haunting you?  Of course not! They would rather support and help guide you through your life, and speak through a medium to say “I love you”. Spirits of people who have passed are very loving. I have seen this time and again in many of my readings that I do for people. If you have anymore questions about this please contact me or book a reading here.

Are mediums inundated by spirits all day long?

Recently I was asked by two people if spirits inundate me with lots of communication and information via their presence throughout the day. When I first became aware of my sensitivities and an awareness of the spirit world, I wondered the same thing—are spirits around me all the time and are they always trying to communicate with me? Should I be concerned? Perhaps this concern comes from pop culture movies like Ghost where Whoopi Goldberg’s character is seemingly inundated by the voices of spirits whether she likes it or not. Although comedic in the movie, this is not the case. It is true that the spirit world is around us all the time, not just around mediums but everyone. The spirit world blends with our world and is part of the universal energy that flows through all living things. Anywhere that we are, the spirit world is there too. For myself, it is my belief and understanding that spirits visit our world, do the things they enjoy doing including being part of our world.  It is a supportive energy that is around us. However, just because the spirit world is around everyone all the time, this does not mean that spirit families inundate myself or other mediums with ongoing communications during our days. While the spirit world is around all of us and can blend with us,  it is up to the medium whether or not they choose to blend with the spirit world. When a medium wants to connect to spirit, the medium alters their state of consciences to feel and sense the spirit world.  If the medium is not in the altered state, then the medium would not blend with the spirit world and thus, would not receive information. It’s really important to understand that a while medium can be with the spirit world most of the day, their energy, sensitivity, and awareness to do so would take a huge toll on their body. So it’s best to connect with the spirit world only when time permits, like when the medium is with a client or when they feel the need for upliftment from those in spirit. Generally though, throughout the day I am myself, and I only connect with spirit when needed. Therefore, spirits do not inundate me with messages all day. I hope this answers your question. If you have more please send me a message and I will provide some guidance.

Are Mediums Born?

The idea of being a medium—someone who can communicate with spirits or souls from other realms—is often tied to both nature and nurture. Some schools of thought believe mediums are “born” with natural abilities, while others think these abilities can be developed over time through practice, training, or personal experiences. For myself, I did not realize that I had any gifts growing up.  I had a very normal and busy upbringing. It wasn’t till later on in my life and going through many difficulties that I realized that I was very sensitive to people’s emotions and could read them and psychically understand what will happen in the future.  I learned that I had a sensitivity to the spirit world.    When I began my journey of exploring the afterlife and trying to understand the circle of life, I uncovered a yearning within myself, a desire to learn more about the spirit world and communicating with the spirits. It was in the early days of taking classes over an 8-year period to understand how to connect to the spirit world that I was able to gain much knowledge about the spirit world and connecting with our loved ones who have passed.  I feel I was born with these abilities, but they lay dormant within me until much later in life. For yourself, you may find that you are a sensitive individual who can psychically read the room that you are in, and have always been able to read your parents reactions, or psychically are able to know what is in the near future. These are capabilities that are often shown prior to the development of mediumship. Which one of these do you feel you most relate to? These beliefs vary depending on personal experiences and our own spiritual development. Some view mediumship as a calling, while others see it as a universal potential that can be accessed by anyone. If you find you are drawn to mediumship and have a sensitivity and yearning to learn more,  I encourage you to seek out a development group, mentor, and like-minded individuals that can assist you in your development.   There are many great courses that are well-taught, and there are some that are not, so please do your homework and research and always be sure to ask for referrals.

signs and symbols from loved ones in spirit

Common Signs & Symbols From Loved Ones In Spirit

Signs and symbols play a huge role in my readings because they can provide such astounding evidence of our loved ones all around us. Often as the reader, I may pass on the information of these signs and symbols, but I may not know the meaning or significance to the sitter. However, for them it can be the most meaningful thing they hear in the reading, because spirit knows what will resonate with them. Signs and symbols from the spirit world are often subtle, personal, and can vary greatly from person to person, but they often carry deep meaning for the recipient. These signs are ways of communication that loved ones who have passed, spirit guides and angels, use to connect with us. Here are some common signs and symbols: 1. Feathers 2. Butterflies and Birds 3. Coins 4. Synchronicities 5. Dreams 6. Electrical Disturbances 7. Unexplained Scents 8. Cloud Shapes 9. Objects Moving or Appearing 10. Tingling or Warmth Sensations 11. Animals The key to interpreting these signs is often in personal significance. What resonates with one person may be different from what resonates with another, but the feeling of comfort, reassurance, connection, or a sense of just ‘knowing’ is usually a hallmark of spiritual communication. Remain open, loving and observant when connecting with loved ones through signs and symbols. What signs and symbols from spirit have you encountered?

Can a medium tell if I have a gift to communicate with Spirit?

If you’ve ever had a mediumship reading before, you may have wondered if a medium can tell if you have a gift to communicate with spirit. Recently, I was asked by a sitter in a reading this exact question. She wanted to know if she had mediumistic abilities. I told her that I felt she had the ability to connect with the spirit world, and provided her with some information that she found helpful.    How to tell if you have the gift to communicate with spirit  I provided her with information about her sensitivity – her ability to feel and sense her surroundings, feel people’s emotions, and have intuitive insights for her life and others. These are some of the attributes that a person often possesses long before becoming a medium.  Often a person has a bit of anxiety from being super sensitive and aware of their surroundings.  These sensitive abilities are particularly important when feeling and sensing the spirit world. While some people just know that they have their family and friends close by and can feel the subtleties of their family members from spirit, there are others that are not so sure. For those who are not sure and are wondering about communicating with spirit,  a medium may be able to help you with understanding yourself along with understanding your connection and patterns you have to be able to connect with those who have passed over.   Do you have the gift to communicate with spirit? I can often sense and have a ‘knowing’ that a person has the ability to connect to the spirit world. Sometimes I explain some of the attributes one possesses to have the connection and ability. For myself, I was told many years ago that I had the ability when I was not very sure of myself.  This information came from a very reputable person, a medium that I trusted deeply. This helped me along my path of spiritual development and discovery of myself along with the unfolding of my mediumship abilities.   For those who are seeking to find out if they have a gift, please seek out a reputable evidential medium who has been trained by senior teachers, has past experience helping others, and has a psychic and intuitive background. This allows them to read you when in a sitting and to sense your abilities. Mediumistic abilities are within the soul of a person, as it is the soul that connects with the spirit world, and this is the soul power that we use when we connect and receive information.   When seeking out a medium to help you with your unfolding mediumship, always have a bit of a skeptical mind and be wise to exercise caution when evaluating claims related to your mediumistic and psychic abilities.  Research the medium you seek guidance from and always keep an open mind when seeking information about the spirit world.

Are you feeling held back from becoming a better medium?

Becoming a medium or enhancing mediumship abilities is a personal and unique journey.  Each one of us goes through a very personal transformation within ourselves to become a medium. It’s in the journey that we learn about ourselves, who we are and how to help others through mediumship.     For myself, I went through years of personal development and understanding of self. In learning about ourselves and understanding who we are,  we can truly learn about what may hold us back from furthering our mediumship development. It’s a gradual process for many, even if we have known since we were young that we were mediums.  Each of us must develop mediumship abilities and learn how best to communicate with the spirit world. Learning the various clair senses, working through challenges, and understanding spirit are by far the most important aspects for our development. For mediums who develop the skills to connect with the spirit world, they often go through many ups and downs, trials and tribulations, movement forward and setbacks to become a beautiful medium for the spirit world.   Here are some common reasons why you may feel held back in your development a mediumship. Each one is just as important as the others: Beliefs Sometimes, limiting beliefs or doubts can hinder progress. Often we come into mediumship from other traditions and religions that challenge our beliefs, and may possibly hold us back from our development. Consider the beliefs you hold about mediumship and ask yourself if any other them may be subconsciously hindering you from developing further. Fear and Anxiety Fear or anxiety about the process or outcomes can block our sensitivity and abilities. With fear, it is one of the more common reasons why people hold themselves back from developing mediumship.  Fear lessens our ability to communicate and disallows the flow of information, so consider fear if you are being held back in developing. One Fear that many have is the medium does not want to be wrong in front of another human being. This fear then does not allow the medium to advance their skills because they often are in fear of making a mistake, which is not a good energy for accessing our senses. Self-Confidence Lack of self-confidence can affect your ability to trust and interpret the information you receive.  If we are unsure and less confident when connecting to the spirit world we will not be able to deliver a message of love and hope for those who seek our help. Confidence that you are on the right path, that you are in fact receiving information, is essential to developing mediumship communication.   Training and Education Ongoing education and practice with other mediums is essential.  We often can be held back from developing our skills further if we do not actively continue to self-develop with education and training.  For myself I have trained with the most amazing teachers at the Arthur Findlay College where I will be returning to in 2024. Spiritual Development & Study Strengthening your spiritual connection will enhance your mediumship abilities.  Often mediums develop in practice circles which assist in breaking through barriers and help with spiritual development of self. In addition to practicing, I often suggest reading spiritual books about mediumship, intuition, and the spirit world for more understanding.   Intention and Purpose Clarify your intentions and purpose behind developing as a medium. Having a clear sense of why you are pursuing this path can provide focus and motivation.  For myself it was to help others after doing my own healing from grief. For some, they jump into mediumship too fast and try to work with the spirit world without developing spiritual practice, understanding themselves, or receiving training, and they burn out rather quickly and become very discouraged.  Take your time in your development as you may end up holding yourself back without the knowledge and time to understand your purpose.   Feedback and Validation Seek constructive feedback and validation from experienced mentors. This can offer insights into your strengths and areas for improvement. With proper guidance, your mediumship should flourish.  Part of development is receiving much-needed feedback as this will assist you with developing.  Seek teachers and tutors of the highest good to assist you.   Patience and Persistence Mediumship development is often a gradual process. Be patient with yourself, stay persistent, and acknowledge the progress you make along the way.  When you feel you need to climb a mountain,  take it slow. When you feel like giving up, take a breath and see how far you have come.  You are very important to the spirit world so please do take care of yourself and take the time needed to develop the best of yourself.   Remember that everyone’s journey is unique, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to mediumship development.

Can a medium connect to a photo of a deceased loved one?

Recently, I have seen a number of people post pictures of their loved ones who are in spirit. These individuals ask for messages from an intuitive medium in hopes of hearing and receiving some healing messages from their loved one in spirit. In various social media forms, people sometimes present a picture of their loved one in spirit that they hope a medium will read and post information about the deceased loved one online. The individual who posts will often comment on the remarks the medium is making, and may indicate in the comments of the photo that they understand or don’t understand the information coming through. However, people who post their loved one’s picture likely do not realize that any information coming through is not from the spirit world, it’s actually coming from the medium’s own psychic intuition. The spirit world is never wrong and it does not provide inaccurate information. So if the picture reading was in fact a connection to the spirit world, the information from those in spirit would be factual, because the sitter would know the deceased’s life and the evidence of that would be accurate.   So,  is reading a picture of someone who has passed a true form of mediumship?   No, it is not a form of mediumship! Mediumship is where a person who has sensitivity to the spirit world utilizes their soul to blend and connect with the soul of someone who has passed, often in-person or online with the sitter. I often say it’s a soul to soul connection. It is this soul to soul communication that provides the evidence and gives a message to the person here on earth. The soul of the person in spirit must be present in order to give the information to the medium. And a photo of the deceased is only a photo; it is not a soul. If an intuitive medium or a person with intuitive abilities looks at the picture, they are likely accessing their psychic abilities to read it, and are not truly accessing not the soul of the person in spirit. They may pick up certain things psychically from the photo, but the soul of the person in spirit is not there for them to connect to because the sitter – the person posting the picture – is not in the realtime presence of the medium on either a live video call or in-person reading, and it is the sitter who brings the connection for the medium. You see, we bring our loved ones with us to a reading, and they stay with us during the reading and leave with us when it ends. And so, it is not possible for mediumship to work in the case of a medium simply looking at a picture from social media to provide an evidential reading. The medium may be accessing their intuition and providing information from their intuitive self, but the information coming through is not from the spirit world. It is important to know that a picture reading is only a psychic reading and not mediumship. If you have considered posting pictures, just know that any information that comes through flows from the intuitive side and not from the spirit world.

Which is better? | In-Person vs. Online Mediumship Readings

In the realm of spiritual exploration and mediumship readings, individuals often seek connection with the afterlife through mediums and a reading session. These readings, facilitated by mediums with the ability to communicate with spirits are held in two different formats: in-person and online. What’s the difference? Online mediumship readings bring the comfort of home to the spiritual quest. Clients can engage in sessions from the familiarity of their living rooms, eliminating the need for travel or logistical arrangements. This convenience extends the accessibility of mediumship services over vast distances, allowing individuals to seek spiritual guidance without being constrained by geographical locations. In-person mediumship readings, on the contrary, offer a different kind of comfort — the comfort of physical presence. Some individuals find satisfaction in face-to-face interactions, appreciating the immediacy and personal presence that an in-person session provides. The shared space creates an environment where both the medium and the client can tap into the spiritual energies more intimately. One of the most apparent differences lies in the physical presence of the participants. In an in-person mediumship reading, the medium and the client share the same physical space. This proximity can create an immediate and a personal connection, as the energy exchange between the two unfolds.  Are in-person mediumship readings better than online mediumship readings? While some individuals believe that a mediumship reading may be better in person, this is a personal choice.  For myself, I am not always convinced of this.  Over my years of experience along with my training over the internet and connecting with many like minded individuals whom practice mediumship, we have found that the distance between the spirit person and the client does not make a difference whether in-person or online.   To expand on my theory,  many of my google reviews come from readings that I conducted over the internet mainly due to COVID.  Then clients continued to book online readings versus being in-person with me.  The convenience of an online session out-weighed the challenges of the distance and travel to get to a medium for a session in-person.   It’s Your Choice The choice between in-person and online sessions is deeply personal. It hinges on individual preferences, beliefs, and comfort levels. While online readings offer convenience and accessibility, in-person sessions provide a physically immersive experience. Regardless of either format, the essence of mediumship lies in the profound healing and communication that the spirit world wants to provide.  Our spirit family draws close,  visiting us in a reading regardless of time and space. They have a willingness to provide evidence of survival after death for both in-person or online readings through a medium.

Do family in spirit become healed when we heal here on Earth?

It is my belief that mediumship offers a profound avenue for healing ourselves and the continuation of love and connection with our family in spirit.  As many of you know, mediumship serves as a bridge between us here on earth and spiritual realms, providing an opportunity to communicate with those who have crossed over.  I believe that mediumship provides healing for many, offering comfort and some closure to individuals managing their grief and loss. Often clients speak of a profound healing after a session.  The ability to connect with departed family members brings a sense of continuity, reaffirming that the bond of love transcends from this world to the next.   Healing Ourselves and Connecting with Family in Spirit I was asked recently if I believe when we heal ourselves here on earth and do the work necessary for our own healing, are we healing our family in spirit? From my perspective and teachings, the answer is a resounding YES!   I have a strong belief that when we heal ourselves, we are also healing our family in spirit. Our family in spirit love us, are close to us, and are often our cheerleaders guiding us along our path, they remain very close. Our family in spirit draws close to us, and they see our progress when we heal ourselves, and they are quite happy for our success.  They in turn are healing as we heal.  They are comforted by the fact that we are progressing in our life and that when we continue to work on ourselves that they participate and are joyful of the accomplishments.  One of the key aspects of mediumship is the healing it brings to our own souls. When we hear from our loved ones, our loved ones in spirit want to say “I love you, I love you”,  “ Thank you”,  “I am sorry”, “I miss you”. This not only helps us on our journey of healing,  but just as important,  it helps those in spirit send love to us, and help with their journey of healing also. One thing that is important to note, is that the spirit world has to work really hard to blend with mediums. They work really hard because of the healing for them and us.  For our family to blend with us and convey loving and healing messages it helps not only us, but them in spirit as well.   If you are on your healing journey and seeking the guidance and love of a loved one who has passed to spirit, consider the healing of a mediumship session.

Ethics in Mediumship | How to be an ethical medium

Ethics in mediumship is one of the most important parts of seeking a mediumship reading. I strongly believe that the medium must act in a professional manner at all times, and uphold the value of the spirit world, knowing that the spirit world is always with us and watching over us.   For myself, I can assure those who seek a reading from me that I follow all codes of ethics in my practice. But this cannot be said of every single medium unfortunately. In the field of mediumship, there are sometimes individuals who have not had the training or the experience, and therefore they may not uphold a strong ethical practice. It’s important to be aware of this when booking a mediumship reading. How To Be An Ethical Medium Here are some areas to consider if you are becoming a medium or interested in mediumship, or wanting to find a medium to book with. This list provides some of the responsibilities that come with mediumship and encourages mediums to work to the highest standards in their demonstrations and readings: Mediums should: Mediums should never: Although some mediums may think they’re helping someone by advising the sitter of health issues or trying to predict the future with specificity, it can actually do more harm than good. It’s important for all mediums to remain moral and ethical during the reading, as readings often have a profound effect on the sitter in influencing their life and mood.  If you are looking to get into mediumship, sticking to the above lists of ethics is highly crucial for your success in building trust with your clients. If you are looking to book a reading with a medium, consider the lists above and see if the medium adheres to these ethics or not. If they don’t, you’ll have a pretty good idea of whether or not to book with them.

How does a mediumship reading work?

Mediumship readings are an opportunity to communicate with loved ones who have passed on to the other side. It can be such a beautiful and healing experience for both our family in spirit and also the sitter (yourself).  A medium is a person who is able to connect with the spiritual realm and act as a conduit for messages from deceased individuals.  If you are considering a mediumship reading, you may be wondering how it works and whether or not you can ask questions to your loved one in spirit. I’ve provided some more information that help to understand the process of a mediumship reading and answer some common questions that I receive from clients about the experience. What is a Mediumship Reading? A mediumship reading is a session in which a medium connects with the spiritual realm and delivers messages from those who have passed on. Mediums are able to connect with the soul and consciousness of the person who has passed and receive information that they can relay to the sitter in front of the medium. The information may come in the form of descriptions, images, or sensations, and can provide comfort, healing, and guidance to those seeking to connect with their loved ones.  A mediumship reading should always have evidence from the person who is deceased, along with the essence of who they were while here on earth.  How Does a Mediumship Reading Work? During a mediumship reading, the medium will typically begin by tuning into the soul of the person seeking the reading.  This allows the medium to then connect to the loved ones in spirit. I always say that your family comes with you to the reading and they leave with you in your heart.    The medium will begin to receive information from the spiritual realm. The medium will then relay this information to the person seeking the reading. The information should be specific and not general information, and it may relate to past, present, or future events. The medium may also receive messages and evidence from multiple family and friends who are in spirit and be able to relay messages of love from them.   Can You Ask Questions to Your Loved One in Spirit? A common question people have about mediumship readings is whether or not they can ask questions to their loved ones in spirit. The answer is yes, in most cases. Mediums are able to communicate with spirits similar to telepathic communication and can often relay messages and answer questions from those who have passed on. This is something that has been healing for the client when they are able to ask.   However, it’s important to keep in mind that the medium is not in control of the information that comes through. They are simply acting as a conduit for the messages from the spiritual realm. This means that the answers to your questions may not always be what you expect or want to hear, and for this it’s important to approach a mediumship reading with an open mind. Tips for Preparing for a Mediumship Reading If you are considering a mediumship reading, there are several things you can do to prepare for the experience. Here are a few tips to help you get the most out of your reading: Mediumship readings can be a powerful tool for connecting with loved ones who have passed on. Through the skills of a medium, we can receive messages of comfort, healing, and guidance from the spiritual realm. If you are considering a mediumship reading, it’s important to approach the experience with an open mind. If you’re unsure about whether or not a mediumship reading is right for you, take some time to do research. Ultimately, a mediumship reading can be a valuable and transformative experience for those seeking to connect with their loved ones in spirit.   For myself, I have great pleasure in connecting with those in spirit and those who are with me as clients.

Overcoming Language Barriers in Mediumship Readings

Mediumship is the ability to communicate with spirits who have passed away. It can be an incredibly rewarding experience for both the medium and the client. However, what happens when the medium speaks a different language than what the spirit of the deceased person spoke when they were alive? Is there a language barrier during a mediumship reading? This is a very interesting question. I have had this experience a number of times in my practice. For myself, the most common language the person in spirit spoke when they were alive is French, and the sitter along with myself speak english. But I was still able to convey messages, information and healing from the person in spirit even though they spoke French when alive. How is this possible? Language Barriers in Mediumship Readings It is important to understand that spirits communicate through thoughts, feelings, and impressions rather than through spoken language. Mediums use their abilities to tune into these subtle energies and interpret them into words and phrases that make sense to the client. Therefore the language should not be a problem in my experience. Spirits often communicate through symbols and images rather than through words. For example, a spirit may show the medium an image of a particular animal or object that holds significance to the client. The medium will be able to describe the information and significance to the client, regardless of language. Sensory Approache One approach is for the medium to rely on their sensory abilities to interpret the spirit’s messages. While the medium may not understand the spirit’s language, they can still tune into the energy of the message and convey it to the client in a way that makes sense to the client. This approach requires a degree of skill and intuition on the part of the medium, but it can be effective in delivering a meaningful message to the client. In conclusion, through careful communication and interpretation, mediums can overcome barriers of a language difference in spirit and deliver accurate and meaningful messages to their clients.
