7 Benefits of Conducting A Psychic or Mediumship Reading Over Zoom

You may be surprised to learn that there are quite a few benefits of conducting a psychic or mediumship reading over zoom. Because of the pandemic, many Individuals are turning to social media and Zoom to provide more interaction online and conduct business. This is the same for mediums that provide both intuitive, psychic and mediumship healing, such as myself. Zoom has been an integral aspect of many people’s lives lately, and many have adapted to the changing environment of going online.  I primarily conduct readings online at this time. However, as the pandemic eases, in addition to conducting readings online, there will be more opportunities to conduct readings in person. I am finding though that at this time, many of my colleagues throughout Canada, USA, and the UK are using Zoom and similar platforms. Is booking a reading over Zoom safe? While we can never assume anything to be completely safe, we can mitigate as much as possible for our privacy.  It’s understandable that when considering the benefits of conducting a psychic or mediumship reading over zoom, we take into account safety and privacy. I am concerned about privacy just as much as you may be! I take additional steps to ensure the safety and privacy of each reading, and to help with the safety of not being ‘zoombombed.’ For instance, each of my Zoom invitations have a unique long password generated for each client’s reading. This is important because long and unique passwords are considered much more secure. I also activate a waiting room for every session so that no direct access to a meeting can be had. Lastly, Zoom has a feature called Lock Room which I enable once the reading begins. What are the benefits of conducting a psychic or mediumship reading over zoom? Now with the safety and privacy aside,  I would like to talk about the benefits to you as a person receiving a reading over zoom. I believe there are several benefits of conducting a psychic or mediumship reading over zoom, such as: There is less chit-chat getting settled In person, there can often be more time spent settling in. Would you like some tea? Here are the tissues!  Do you need anything else? How have you been? When we meet someone for the first time in person, we often make small talk before getting to the heart of the matter. With a reading over zoom, there is no time for that! Often the reading is only 30 or 45 mins long, so we can get started almost right away when meeting online. More opportunity to be on time for your sessionWhen booking a reading over Zoom, there is no fighting with traffic or where to park or dealing with travel time. Conducting a psychic or mediumship reading over zoom makes it very easy for both me and the sitter to be on time, comfortable, and ready to go once the reading starts. Not feeling rushed if running lateIf you are running late for the Zoom reading for whatever reason, it’s usually only a few minutes late because it is very easy to jump online when you are ready. For some of us, we push the limits of time and race in our vehicle to an in-person session, which may not be helpful to the reading as you’ll arrive flustered and distracted. I really don’t mind if a client is a few minutes late, but if they were 15 or 20mins late stuck in traffic, that would be a problem for both of us! No need for a car   Speaking of getting to a reading on time, if you don’t have a car, getting to an in-person session can be challenging and taking transit can take up a lot of your time. With conducting a psychic or mediumship reading over zoom, you don’t need a car or transit. Ease of being in one’s home    There is simply something so nice about having a reading in your own space, especially if it’s the first time you’ve ever had a reading. Once the session is complete, you will have your own space to digest and to feel the presence of the spirit! The accuracy of information remains just the same as in-person  With psychic and mediumship readings, the accuracy of information the sitter receives is the same, whether the reading is done online or in-person. Spirit does not need to have the medium and the sitter in the same physical place in order to be with the sitter.   The lovely aspect of Spirit is that you bring your family with you wherever you go, whether over Zoom or in-person. And when you leave the reading, your loved ones in spirit leave with you as well. They are always in your heart and with you. This is the same for psychic readings too; over Zoom, the information from your soul to my soul will flow very similarly to an in-person session. A session can be recorded for your future viewingEvidence and memories mentioned by a medium during a reading can bring additional comfort to you later because you can easily view a recording of the Zoom reading at any time. How wonderful is that! No need to try to take any notes or make your own recording.   Why You Should Consider Book A Reading Over Zoom Zoom has always worked well for my clients and friends. I have been able to read around the world for many people, and have enjoyed the opportunity to read for a variety of cultures and backgrounds. Conducting a psychic or mediumship reading over zoom has allowed for such beautiful meetings between soul and spirit to occur. For myself, touching others’ spirits both living and passed on is an amazing gift. Helping others is very important to me and if Zoom bridges us together so that we are able to share a bit of time for healing, then I believe Zoom has been a gift. If you’re ever unsure about booking

Reasons Why Spirit May Not Come Through In A Reading

Have you ever had a mediumship reading where the reading was lacking in details, or your loved one did not come through? This is a terrible feeling and I completely understand how disheartening it can be. However, there are a few reasons for why spirit may not come through. Let’s say you’ve booked a mediumship reading, you’re anticipating it for days or weeks. You’re excited, you can’t wait to hear from a certain loved one who has passed on. And then the day comes and the reading happens and – your loved one is not there. Instead, Uncle Bob from generations past may be the one to come through, or some other family member you don’t even know that well. You may feel devastated and think, how come they don’t love me, the person you really wanted to hear from? And in the end, you may even forget most of the reading because the spirit who came through wasn’t the one you wanted to hear from. Now, why is that? Why is it that sometimes when we go to see a medium, spirit doesn’t come through? There are actually a few very good reasons for why spirit may not come through in a mediumship reading. Spirit doesn’t come through because of a weak connection Firstly, I’d like to say – it’s not you! If your family does not show up, it is not because your family doesn’t love you or doesn’t want to visit and leave messages. It’s often in the blending of the medium and spirit world where we find that spirit may not come through.  Blending with the spirit world is not always a sure thing each and every day, and this can greatly impact who comes through and who doesn’t. So, a very likely cause is that it may be the medium who is not blending with the spirit world very well. This happens occasionally, and it potentially happens to both beginners and experienced mediums. We are all human and blending with spirit may be affected more on one day versus another. There are many professionals and seasoned mediums who sometimes read for the person sitting across from them and still have difficulty. Please do not be discouraged; your family in spirit does indeed love you. They just may not be able to use that particular medium to communicate. It’s very similar to how in life, we do not always get along with or become strong friends with every single person we meet. There are times at the office, at work, or parties that we find ourselves staying away from some people and more attracted to others. This is exactly how I feel about blending with the spirit world – some spirits will be drawn to me, others will not. This, I would say, is the case for all mediums. The spirit world needs to trust a medium and get along with the personality of the medium in order to communicate and provide information about their life. The same way we need to get along well with someone before we become friends.   Sharing one’s life is a personal thing, so the spirit and the medium do have a relationship during the reading. Would you engage with someone on Earth that you didn’t particularly care for? Likely not! So consider that the spirit world does the same when blending with a medium, and the medium must be able to hold the connection of the spirit that is in the spirit world. This is often the reason for why spirit may not come through; purely, it is the connection between the medium and spirit. The medium may be new If a medium is just beginning the amazing journey of reading for others, and being of service to the spirit world, they may not have the full expectation that your family or loved one will blend with them.  A newer medium may not be able to hold or sustain the power needed to read for someone and bring evidence through. A newer medium may also be fishing for information and using the mind rather than the soul – a common and misunderstood mistake new mediums can make!    These are all areas of growth for many mediums and reasons why your connection to your family may not be strong. It is my hope that you don’t shy away from giving a newer medium the experience of reading for you in order for them to grow, but to consider your expectations if this is the case. Can a sitter cause a spirit to not come through? As a sitter, when going into a reading, always consider that if there are strong feelings going on with yourself, that has potential to affect outcomes. Your willingness to engage assists the medium. Allow yourself not to be fearful but allow the experience to occur.   Maybe you have lost a person recently and are desperate for them to come through. Sometimes the intense need to reach someone can cause a reading to not go as well as you would want. Not to worry though – your family is still there, and they love you immensely. If you’re a newer medium, one note of caution is not to assume that you are blocked or that you are not a good enough reader. This kind of beliefs and thinking will not help as the mind is a powerful thing and thinking this way will only interfere even more with future readings and connection.  This spirit world is aware and will help you along your journey. Go into a reading with an open mind and heart. At the end of the day, it is important to know that a medium does not select and choose who comes through and who doesn’t. That is entirely up to the spirit world to decide!   Remember that your spirit family loves you no matter what There are many reasons why a family member does not come through, but I assure you it’s

Why Do Spirits Communicate Certain Information In Mediumship Readings?

Mediumship readings are an amazing experience. It is no wonder that we may ask ourselves why do spirits communicate certain information, and leave out other additional information? How do spirits decide what is revealed in a reading and what isn’t? Spirit Communication and My Thoughts On Why It Exists Spirit communication in a mediumship reading is about helping the spirit world first.  The spirit world has a lot to provide in communication, and it’s often very personal to the sitter.  Have you considered that our family and friends want to reach out and communicate?  It is touching to know that our loved ones are there and they work very hard to blend with a medium.  It’s not always about the sitter here on earth, but more so, it’s about allowing our family and friends in spirit to communicate.  Spirits love to connect and share information because of the vast knowledge about our lives on earth and what is occurring in our world. Our spirit families are highly evolved in their knowledge and abilities to communicate with a medium.  It is my belief that through spirit communication, a medium heals two worlds, our world and their world. This is a very important concept; a medium can blend and assist with both the spirit world and our own world when it comes to healing.  Those in spirit need to communicate and provide information about their life, and loved ones on earth want to listen. How come spirits communicate certain information? Consider your family, your lovely ones in spirit; they are intelligent and wise. They can communicate anything. However, why is it that during a mediumship reading, some mediums can obtain significant detail while others may not? You may think that this is because the spirit is deciding what information to share and what not to share, but really the spirit communication has a lot do with the medium and their training.  When spirits communicate certain information, it is because they wish to share their memories or feelings with you. This information flows when the medium is trained in all aspects of mediumship and has the awareness of the information that comes through. When a medium is trained extensively on utilizing their sensitivity and abilities in detail and understands that the relationship with the spirit world is a two-way communication, then that medium has more abilities to provide specific details and lovely memories. Spirit communicates certain information about themselves, possibly work, home life, activities, but they are more than capable of providing very detailed information to the sitter, and share amazing feelings no one would know about. Have you witnessed a medium who can provide exact street addresses, phone numbers, license plates, or may provide the tiniest exact details that most overlook? This accurate and very detailed information comes from the training of the medium and their discussion with the spirit world.    Discussions In Spirit Communication There is a two-way discussion that occurs during a mediumship reading.  Often, people who begin their training will sit and wait for information, not receiving much, and overthinking the information that has been provided to them. If a medium is having difficulties communicating, then how can a spirit provide much information? It’s likely that a new medium may not fully understand yet the beautiful exchange that happens in the two-way discussion between them and spirit. When it comes to communication with the spirit world, I personally experience passing of thoughts and a feeling that is exchanged. There is also communication with smell, knowing, touch, and taste, but often, my readings begin with personal information about the spirit, and additional information soon flows after that. When spirits communicate certain information, it’s the medium’s responsibility to assist with the information detailed to them. For instance, if the medium sees a kitchen, ideally the medium sends a thought to spirit asking the spirit to show additional details of the full kitchen – what was in the cupboards or on the kitchen ledge? Was the fridge empty or full? Was there a can for keeping cash? How about the cooking? Are there smells of baked goods or was it casseroles and chicken dishes? Each of these questions can be more detailed with the spirit communication, but more importantly each one of these examples and their details will mean much more to the sitter than we often realize. For example, perhaps there was an old jar used for keeping cash, and communicating that to a sitter could invoke tears of joy at the memory. If we overlook information and do not communicate with the spirit world, we may overlook these small but mighty pieces of information that are ultimately evidence to the sitter that their loved one truly is with them. Consider that spirit communication is similar to how we communicate on earth. When a person meets someone for the first time, do they stand by and not say a word and wait for the other to speak? When we meet another person that we have never met, we often engage in back-and-forth discussion, share information about our selves, family, our work, and life experiences. In most cases we provide good details when questioned. This is exactly what the spirit world does when a medium sends interesting questions. This exchange and what I call being ‘nosey’ is what allows great information to reach the sitter.  However, there are times we do not engage, therefore we do not receive the information for our sitter.  This is the equivalent of meeting someone new for the first time and waiting for them to ask questions before you talk! Blending and delivering messages is not easy… It is up to us as the medium to obtain certain pieces of information that a spirit communicates.  However,  from my experience, it is not always easy to blend and deliver messages. Why is that? When a medium works with the spirit world, the spirit world must work with the experiences and vocabulary that the medium has. The spirit world may

Can Meditation Help With Mediumship?

For those just starting out with their mediumship journey, you may be wondering: can meditation help with mediumship? How long should I meditate for? With many mediumship teachers you may hear mixed answers with this. Some individuals might say you must meditate in order to become a good medium. Others will confess that they don’t regularly meditate, but are still able to communicate well with the spirit world! So which is it?  Overall, I do believe that meditation can help with mediumship.  When we begin our journey into connecting with our soul and those souls in spirit we need to have a clear and calm mind. Without this clear and calm mind we are forever chasing our own thoughts, ideas and analyzing the information we receive from spirit. The calmness in our mind is essential to listen to the soul and receive information.   If we are unable to have a clear and calm mind then meditation is very important and necessary.   However, with some individuals I do not believe it is an absolute must or an absolute imperative to meditate for a connection with spirit.  Some people will find meditation rather easy, and some people will find it rather difficult – no different than anything else that we learn in life. Meditation takes practice, devotion, and awareness. What is important is the continued practice and dedication. This dedication does not have to be daily, even weekly is fine, however find the time for yourself and spirit to sit and be with the soul of you. Finding the calmness and the ability to put the days worry is the reward for spirit communication. I indicated a moment ago that I do not believe it is an absolute must. I do not want to lead you astray but want to clarify. Personally, I have not meditated extensively in the traditional sense of sitting not the floor.  I found other ways to meditate.   When I came into mediumship, I had already tried meditation but I didn’t find much success with it. While others could meditate easily, I could hardly do it because of my busy mind and the time needed.   However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t find meditation important for spirit communication and in other areas of my life. For instance, I often find places to calm my mind, like being outside and sitting quietly in nature, finding the time to be with myself, and utilizing the breath to focus and calm. Creative activities are also areas of my life that give me the opportunity to quiet down the mind.  If you are creative, consider finding time to paint, draw, design, and build your creative pieces. This is a calming and can be considered a form of meditation.   Can Meditation Help With Mediumship? Meditation is important as it calms the mind. It’s in this calming of the mind that we are allowing our own spiritual communication to open up. Our spiritual connection require the busy mind to be placed on hold for a short time.    If we are busy, anxious, unsettled, or have a lot of information passing through our minds, we are not in a state where we can receive information from the spirit world or our own spirit and soul. We cannot feel our own spirit and therefore, our spirit cannot touch the spirits that are with us at that moment.   Sitting meditation provides that time and comfort to be with oneself.  In addition, one will begin to feel the subtle changes within and harness the goodness that we are. These subtle changes are sensations of tingling, feelings of energy changes around the body,  hot and cold sensations, and noticeable colour changes and movement in the mind’s eye. These are, for me,  areas of expansion of the auric field around us. We need expansion when it comes time to communicate with those in spirit.    How much time is needed? This is very dependent on life and the ability that you have to spare for your development.   If you can manage once a week, then that is great,  if you can possible have the silence for more than once a week, that is great too as the silence helps in other areas of ones life also.    There is no definitive time needed, it really is about you and your needs for your own development.  Take your time if necessary to develop your awareness.   Soul Power Our spirit and soul are needed for communication with the spirit world as the power to communicate comes from our soul – have you heard of soul power? That’s exactly what this is to me!  What a wonderful thought that our souls have power. Our souls have the ability to expand and connect with others here on Earth and also in spirit.  Are soul is who we are, from birth to death,   We are amazing as our soul is everything we are.   I found the soul and spirit fascinating when I first started my mediumship journey. To harness my soul power, I learned how to calm my mind and be at peace with whatever is around me, which is arguably similar to meditation. When we are at peace and are able to feel the silence and the subtle changes around us, that is when we are able to connect with our own spirit. Sitting for Communication So, where does that leave us with meditation and mediumship? I would say that meditation is not overly crucial for those who do not need to calm the mind and develop sensitivities, or have past experiences with connecting with spirit. For those who are quite new to meditation and spirit, it is very important to have a routine of spending time with yourself with meditation music or best in the silent space and allow the thoughts to come and go, but allow yourself to focus on the breath.  By focusing on the breath you may find that your thoughts calm and develop a larger awareness

What To Expect In A Reading | Mediumship & Psychic

For most, it is not an everyday event to have a session with a medium, so I can understand why people often ask me what to expect in a reading. I find it interesting how many individuals have never had a reading of any kind before and are hesitant to have one. Being wary of a reading and what may come from it is perfectly normal though. However, I make it a priority to provide a very safe, trustworthy, and confidential environment. I ensure that the sitter does not feel anxious and is comfortable throughout the reading. It is the medium’s job to ensure the process is explained well, and what may occur during the time together.  What kind of information can you expect in a reading? A psychic or intuitive reading is basically all about you! During this type of reading, a sitter only wants to know about their life through the use of intuitive information about the past, the present and the potential for the future. It is a soul to soul connection (my soul to the sitter’s soul, their higher self), and rest assured, plenty of intuitive information about your life will flow, as one would expect in a reading of this sort. If it’s a spiritual reading, I will share mediumistic evidence of life after death. To do this, a medium uses their own senses to build trust with the spirit world. Images, feelings, smells, and a sense of knowing (also known as being claircognizance) are examples of what I experience when connecting to the spirit world. The information I provide in a mediumship reading is evidence that only the sitter would know. This could be information about times shared together with the deceased loved one or special memories about them. These reading are often very healing for both the spirit world and for the sitter. It’s amazing what beautiful information is able to flow through in a reading of this kind.     Here’s what to expect in a reading done by myself When booking a reading with me, you have the option to choose between a Mediumship Reading, an Intuitive Reading, or a Blended Reading. We will then meet on the scheduled date and time via zoom. Typically the sitter is not required to say much in a reading – often a yes, no or I don’t know is sufficient. I am sincere in my attempt to interpret all the information I receive to the highest and most accurate degree. Towards the end of a mediumship reading, I will accept questions from the sitter. This allows the spirit world to keep a strong connection with us throughout the time together, and once completed, we can discuss and go through some questions and answers.   After your questions, another thing you can expect in a reading from me is to leave feeling uplifted, maybe even thought provoked and joyful.  It is my wish that you leave in a good, spirited way with so much love, knowing your family is with you and that they love you very much.   When all is said and done, I love sitting with people! I love the information that flows and I love to be present in the wonder of the connection. It is my belief that a good reading should provide healing of the spirit world and your own spirit. Of all the things you can expect in a reading of mine, the one thing I hope you encounter the most is the love that I feel during the process; the love that the spirit world and our higher selves indicates is absolutely phenomenal, and I am fortunate enough to be in the presence of that love regularly.

What happens after we die? | Why I don’t believe in earthbound spirits

Many of us have a variety of understandings and beliefs regarding what happens after we die. One of those beliefs is earthbound spirits. I was asked recently about earthbound spirits, and what my beliefs are around them, if any. As it turns out, I am a medium who does not believe in the concept of earthbound spirits, but I do have other beliefs about what happens after we die. First though, let’s start with an explanation of earthbound spirits. Why someone might believe in Earthbound Spirits Earthbound spirits are considered by some to be spirits in limbo that do not fully transition to the spirit world and remain ‘stuck’ on earth – spirits with unfinished business in a sense. Sometimes we hear about earthbound spirits as spirits that have not ‘crossed over’ or have not ‘gone to the light,’ but we must consider where our sources come from when we hear these sorts of things. Is it from the media? Pop culture? Other’s interpretations? Or your own experience? I have met many people who are sensitive to the spirit world and as such, they may have an experience of a spirit that is ‘stuck,’ a feeling, a sense, or possibly even a visual, but does this mean that the soul they are sensing has remained here on earth? No; it just means that they have a sensitivity to the spirit world and possibly the ability to communicate with loved ones. For myself as a medium, I’m able to communicate with individuals who have passed, and each and every sitting that I have done is always with the highest good and the most love. During a reading, I have never ever encountered any type of negativity, lost souls, or any kind of indication that would lead me to believe that there are earthbound spirits, spirits in limbo, or spirits with unfinished business. As such, I have a strong belief and conviction that when we pass to the spirit world, our soul does fully transition from our body to the spirit world, and therefore, there are no earthbound spirits. What do I believe about what happens after we die? I have many beliefs when it comes to life after death. I believe that each and every one of us has a spirit and a soul, so I do feel that each and every one of our souls pass to the spirit world without delay, without confusion, and without problem.  I believe that when people leave their physical bodies, they go to the spirit world immediately. They do not need to stay back as an earthbound spirit. I believe a person would know they have passed, and that they do not need to be ‘guided to the light.’ I believe that when our physical body dies, we are immediately supported in our transition to the other side by family, friends, and our own spirit guides. Have you ever experienced a loved one who is in the hospital and they mention a person who has passed over? This happens quite often; people who are sick and dying will often witness Spirit sometimes days or hours before they pass, when they’re in an altered state of consciousness. During this time, individuals report a strong sense of love, acceptance, and support. Not only do I believe that when we pass, we are greeted by deceased friends and family, but also that when we pass, there is a Divine Spirit or God of your own understanding – a higher power, a source, or an infinite intelligence – waiting to meet and welcome you with love. This higher power never misses anyone transitioning to the spirit world.  It is also my belief that when we make the transition from living to physical death, we move into an afterlife, no matter the situation in which we passed, whether it be an accident, taking our own life, or even a child that has not been born into the world yet. This afterlife is available to all and we automatically transition into it. How many people have witnessed somebody transitioning and often said it’s very peaceful? This, I believe, is the transition to the afterlife. Why I don’t believe in earthbound spirits As a medium, I’m fully aware of the spirits that connect through me and have a desire to communicate with the sitter. This arrangement allows the loved one in spirit to connect to those here on earth through a medium, and it has never been a negative experience for me. However, I must say that any fear within ourselves is very powerful and it can overtake us. If we have a sensitivity to the spirit world, we may feel and know many beautiful feelings in the spirit world, but if we are living in fear and difficult times in our own lives, we may interpret those sensitive feelings of the spirit world as being a ghost, a lost entity, or an earthbound spirit.  In other words, because many people are traumatized by challenges in life, they may have an interpretation that what they experience from the spirit world is something coming back and negatively affecting their life by haunting them or creating fearful situations. But again, this has never been the case for myself during my evidential readings, nor for any of my mediumship friends and colleagues. In addition, if we as humans are living with traumatized memories of our family and loved ones, and we have not come to peace with the individual’s passing, we may feel the presence of them. Often this is a feeling that our family is close, but this does not mean that they are earthbound. I also think the idea of an earthbound spirit is a misconception that is often driven by media and pop culture to acquire attention, and possibly create fear in those who are still alive here on earth. However, it is my experience that the spirit world actually offers much love, acceptance and upliftment – so why would any Soul want to stay

Is there a difference between psychics and mediumship?

One question I often get asked when people come to see me is – what is the difference between psychics and mediumship? People often ask this because they aren’t sure what type of reading they should get. It’s a great question and one that you should clarify with any medium prior to starting a reading with them. I always appreciate the openness of anyone that I am working with. The Main Difference Between Psychics and Mediumship Psychics, an incredibly old term, are also known as an intuitive. A psychic or intuitive person is a reader who connects to you – your soul. For myself when doing a psychic reading, I focus my awareness and feelings toward you to receive information and impressions. When I connect with you, I am able to sense and feel the past, present, and potential for the future. Questions on your mind will likely come up in this type of reading and yet what is interesting is that you will not have told the reader any information about your thoughts, but they will still pick up on them. A psychic will have a good understanding of the person’s life when they read someone and may be able to answer those questions that you have in your life. These readings may be very healing, often leaving you lighthearted. Then there are mediumship readings, done by a spiritual medium. This is an area that I love fondly due to the healing nature and the evidence of survival after death. For a mediumship reading, I blend with the Spirit World to connect with family, friends and sometimes pets. I am drawn in closer to a point where I can feel, sense, and know that I have a family or close friend who wants to speak with a sitter. This is a beautiful experience. While I am conducting the reading, evidence of the loved one’s personality and their life, information about special sentimental trips and items that have memories will come through to me as I share them. This is often information that only the sitter would know. So, to summarize the difference between psychics and mediumship, psychics blend with the person that has come for the reading in order to connect with their soul and provide guidance in their life. Mediumship is about connecting to the Spirit World. Both are very healing for the client, and there is much healing needed in this world. Whether it is a psychic or a mediumship reading, I feel you will receive much value out of the time you invest into it. How do I prepare for a mediumship reading?

Sometimes people ask me how exactly do I prepare for a mediumship reading? Where must a medium be in their mindset in order to give one? The most important factor that helps to prepare for a mediumship reading is acquiring a calm mindset. A calm mind is essential for building awareness and blending with the spirit world. The blending and awareness are the most necessary aspects for becoming aware of the spirit world. For me, I often feel that I alter my state of awareness just before blending. This allows me to remove all of the thoughts, problems, and challenges that I have going on throughout the day. I consider this to be the most important step to prepare for a mediumship reading.  In addition, the altered state allows me to receive information without my conscious mind interfering. Mind interference is one area that most mediums must learn how to manage and work with. The conscious mind is very strong and is consistently analyzing, telling us what to do, what we did wrong – sometimes it is our biggest critic. It is essential to prepare for a mediumship reading by not letting the conscious mind interfere. And so, prior to any reading, it is imperative for the client that I clear my mind and just be in a relaxed state.  With the quieting of the mind, I would then be in a state where I’m able to sense the lovely Spirit World and be with the love they share. The information that is received using my senses is often subtle, therefore I must be in the receiving state of mind. Other than this, I do not feel it is necessary to do more than be present for the client and the Spirit World.   Do you have a ritual in order to prepare for a mediumship reading? I am not a ritualistic person when it comes to preparing for a mediumship reading. I do not believe that a person needs crystals, rocks, feathers, tea, songs, beads or any other kind of item in order to have a strong connection to those in Spirit World. I do not need certain music. I do not have to use a certain place in the house or an office. I only need to be with the person whom the Spirit World wants to connect with, and share inspiration, evidence, and love.  When I am with a client, the evidence will flow, the communication will flow and the healing will flow, so I must admit I really do not prepare for a reading – I am simply available! I make myself available to the Spirit World and to the soul and spirits that are all here with us. How do you prepare for a mediumship reading? Let me know in a comment below. If you have any questions about my process for readings, please contact me.

Unique Information From The Mediumship World | What can it tell us?

When booking a reading with a medium, especially one that you have never met before, you are likely very curious and excited for the medium to make a connection to a loved one in the spirit world. There’s a high possibility for some very unique information from the mediumship world to come through to you. But how does a medium encourage that to happen? For starters, during the reading, the medium ideally should not ask many questions; instead, the medium should be able to connect to the spirit world and only ask you questions that require a Yes, No or I don’t know statement. If this process is followed, then the mediumship reading should flow very well. Then, as a medium connects to the spirit world, you may hear the medium indicate this by saying something like, “As I blend with the spirit world, I feel a lovely young lady that passed recently.” From there, the medium should be able to give information about the spirit’s distinctive personality, things that they liked, areas of interest while alive, and their relationships. It is also important for the medium to best describe the essence of the person, who they were while they were here on Earth, and provide details of their unusual traits, and/or their unique ideas and adventures. All of these are example of the sort of unique information from the mediumship world we may encounter. What else do I mean by unique information from the mediumship world? When I say unique, I recognize that each and everyone of us has different and unique experiences in life. My experiences are far different than your experiences, as your experiences are far different than those around you. If you think back to some of your most beautiful, most amazing experiences – be it travel or family, a place, farm animal or a special location within your house that you have always visited and sat at – they are all vivid recollections and people in the spirit world have those experiences as well from when they were alive. Each one of these experiences is an opportunity for the spirit world to provide a medium with a description, location, and details, making that experience of the person in the spirit world come alive. In this way, many mediums have experiences that yield incredibly unique information from the mediumship world for the sitter in front of them. However, it’s the details and the emotions that are attached to the experience that are necessary to expand on. By expanding, the connection between the spirit world, medium, and the sitter becomes stronger, and there is a definitive knowing that the spirit world is there with them. The sitter will feel it and be overjoyed with emotions of happiness and calm. The spirit world is also overjoyed that they can provide details of their experiences of when they were alive in such a way that the sitter will understand.  What sort of unique information from the mediumship world have I received before? I have had people ask me what is the most unique information from the mediumship world you have provided to a client during a reading? I responded that a unique piece of information is different for each client, like a fingerprint. As an example, I could be sitting with a young lady and become acutely aware of a baby blanket. I could describe the baby blanket in details and I could describe the feelings that are associated with this baby blanket, where the blanket was in the house or what the blanket smelled of. It is in these details that I will realize that the grandmother is communicating her love for her granddaughter sitting in front of me, and also her favourite item, the blanket. A beautiful baby blanket may not mean much to you and I, but it may mean a whole world of difference to the sitter who has come to feel, sense and hear from her grandmother again.  When a medium sits with a sitter, the medium does not know what information will come through. However, once it comes through, each spirit brings in unique and different information. Ideally the medium can bring the essence of that memory alive and cause you to know for certain that you have your family member with you. So, you ask what unique evidence is – it is information that is purely unique to each spirit world person. It could be a very memorable trip, a coffee can in the kitchen, a piece of jewelry, certain foods or family memories, or possibly a document that was taken care of before they passed. Unique information from the mediumship world is very important during a sitting as it provides evidence that the medium has communicated with the spirit world.  As such, each reading should bring forth unique and very personal information that only the sitter would know.    Just remember, it is not only the details the medium provides, but also the emotions and the feelings the spirit world provides that makes a piece of evidence truly relevant and alive.

Have you considered becoming a medium? | My Journey

Have you ever considered becoming a medium? Are you interested in the Spirit World? Have you had situations where you felt that you were able to communicate with spirits? There are many people who have had occurrences with the Spirit World but do not explore or expand on their occurrences and abilities. For some, it simply is not the right time in their life. For myself, I actually was never interested in mediumship for most of my life, and I was not aware of any spiritual beings. What is it like, becoming a medium? When considering mediumship, it’s important to look at your reasons for doing so and where the desire comes from. What drew me to mediumship is the grief I felt for my brother who passed away in 1990. This incident has always left a whole in my heart. Loss can happen deep within the soul. The spirit changes and you continue down that road, wondering what could have been had that person lived. Many people can relate to this, unfortunately.  After my brother’s passing, I did not immediately find mediumship. I was a busy person and had no connection to the Spirit World at all. Sometimes in life you put your grief away in a box in the corner, and you do not want to deal with it. Life gets busy. Sometimes putting the grief away is all we can do to survive and close the heart from more pain. It wasn’t until twenty three years after my brother died that I began to question life after death. I started to investigate and found a book that really opened my eyes to mediumship. Never thinking I could truly become a medium, I simply read to provide some sort of healing for the loss I was still feeling. Over time, I sought help for the grief and dealt with the loss, and was able to open my heart again. I continued to read books on mediumship that fascinated me. I started to work on my own intuitive skills. I read lots, watched YouTube, and joined practice circles. Before long, the mediumship abilities started to flourish. Some people are drawn to spiritual mediumship because of trauma and loss; others are drawn to it by the soul’s need for healing, or a desire to learn mediumship development. It is through the soul’s guidance and desire to seek more understanding that the pull towards becoming a medium is quite strong, and this is exactly what happened to me.   After my soul calling and discovering my fascination with the Spirit World, I became immersed in the understanding of the spirit. Studying and finding like minded people is quite rewarding and uplifting because there is so much to glean from the experiences of becoming a medium. I would say the biggest reward is the ability to heal the pain, sorrow, and heart from grief to uplift. You can gain a heightened awareness of the Spirit World and the ability to touch others through mediumship abilities. It is the most rewarding gift that could be given to me, one where I’m able to touch another person’s heart and soul.  So, if you’ve ever considered becoming a medium, you should explore it as a possibility! Think about why you are asking yourself that question, and read up on some of the material to see if you feel called to it. If you have any questions about getting started as a medium, please let me know.

How To Practice Mediumship | Improve Your Spiritual Communication

Many of us who are interested in mediumship have wondered at some point how to practice mediumship. It’s one thing to learn about it – it’s another thing to practice! We may start out wondering and researching about the spirit world. We do some of our own research and investigations, read books, or possibly attend a demonstration or a church. It is through this inquiring and investigation stage that we may then wonder, can I really become a medium?  If one has the draw and desire, then there is a good possibility that you can become a medium!  What does it take to improve spiritual communication? Becoming a good evidential medium that clients would be happy with takes time and dedication along with practical experience and learning about yourself in the process. What is interesting is that many experienced mediums still require regular practice to continually hone their amazing connection to spirit and improve spiritual communication. While practicing mediumship, one is constantly developing because no one is ever fully developed. I am a strong believer that we are never completely developed as a medium and can always improve our skills and connection to the spirit world. My 82-year-old teacher, Mavis Pittilla, indicates that her mediumship still continues to evolve by working and connecting to the spirit world.   Learning how to practice mediumship takes time, patience, lifelong commitment and research, but it is so worth it! Why is it so important to practice mediumship? Have you considered that the spirit world continually teaches and mentors us along our path in life? It is my belief and experience that this is true. For our development and learning, we must be open to gaining spiritual knowledge and understanding the spirit world and practicing mediumship when we can.    When we begin our journey of learning how to practice mediumship, we need to learn and feel our own sensitivity to the spirit world. These sensitivities we use are for improving our ability to communicate with the spirit world.  Therefore, by practicing mediumship, we become more aware of our own sensitivity.  Practicing mediumship is essential for most mediums, including beginner mediums. Not only does practicing mediumship allow us to learn about our sensitivity and how we feel the spirit world, but it also strengthens soul-to-soul connections. Let me explain. Mediumship is about using our soul to connect with another soul in the spirit world. This ‘soul connection’ is how the information flows from the spirit world to the medium. And so, it is through learning about our own soul that we encounter and strengthen the most important part of the relationship experience with the spirit world – a medium connecting their own soul to a sitter or person in the spirit world. This is what provides accuracy for the medium and the information to flow to the sitter, because a medium can relay information much more accurately with their soul rather than their mind; the conscious mind will struggle, become distracted, and will mainly interfere with inaccurate information. A medium will see the most improvement when they can get control of their own monkey mind, as the mind will not have the answers that the soul has. So, it is important to practice mediumship, because each time you practice, you will continue to improve that soul-to-soul connection. For anyone who asks me how to practice mediumship, this is an essential understanding to have first before practicing. How To Practice Mediumship I have explained a bit about why it is so important to practice mediumship. However, how to do it! That’s another thing. The practice and improvement of a new medium is in the learning and understanding of the soul; this allows mediumship to flourish. Learning how to practice mediumship doesn’t need to be daunting – I have a two main suggestions for how to practice mediumship and improve understanding of the soul. Try joining a circleA circle is where several like minded and developing mediums gather together, either online or in person, to do readings for each other. Essentially they are exchanging readings. Doing exchange readings can further develop a new medium’s skills and allows the awareness to strengthen without needing clients right away. There are many circles often found locally at spiritualist churches or through a medium that may offer services close by. In addition, you can try finding circles online, such as through Facebook groups. This is especially helpful during COVID times and these groups often have various levels of ability for a developing  medium to work with.  It may not be ideal in some situations to practice mediumship online, but I can attest that mediumship development and readings can certainly be done over the internet successfully! It’s the teachers you have that matter most; development of a medium can be achieved very highly with great teachers, regardless of if it’s in person or not.   In addition, online learning can be particularly helpful if a new medium lives in a remote area or does not know individuals that are able to practice with them. Finding the people to practice with is essential for feeling, sensing, knowing, smelling and visualizing the spirit world.  Circles can also be a great place for educational purposes and discussing theory and philosophy when learning how to practice mediumship. If the circle is managed by an experienced medium, then the medium will likely provide some teaching and encouragement. In addition, the teacher allows the participants to try different exercises to learn their particular style of communication.  I suggest finding a circle where there is sensitivity given to the teaching aspect and a positive communication style. Find a circle that makes you feel secure and safe in the environment.  Attempting communication takes dedication and effort is not easy, so having a supportive environment is critical to moving a medium forward. In a supportive circle, a new medium will easily gain knowledge and be able to practice soul-to-soul connection with other like-minded people. I can’t recommend it enough! Improve awareness and clear

4 Practical Tips For Mediumship Beginners

I am fortunate to have clients and friends all over the world interacting with me for mediumship readings. One of the questions I often get asked is do I have any tips for mediumship beginners. For myself, developing mediumship was exceedingly difficult because I was isolated in the Northwest Territories of Canada and did not have a lot of people to communicate with about intuitive or mediumship practices. For those who feel isolated and unsure, know that you are not alone! It’s very common for many new mediums to come into mediumship and Intuitive work without people that understand. However, in this day and age with social media and communication through the internet, there are ways to stay connected and join like minded people who are also developing mediumship. Especially now because of COVID, there are many classes now available online that were not available before. The community has excellent tutors now teaching online, including tutors from the incredibly famous Arthur Findlay College in the United Kingdom. I attended the college several years ago, and it had such a positive impact when I was developing mediumship abilities. If you’ve been wanting to learn about mediumship, and are focused on how to become a medium, please enjoy my 4 tips for mediumship beginners below. Mediumship Made Easy: Tips For Mediumship Beginners If you’re wanting to learn for the first time how to become a medium, I do not want to claim that it will be easy or quick. But these are the tips that have helped me the most when developing mediumship, and I hope they will give a sense of mediumship made easy for those just starting out. Tip #1: Locate and attend mediumship demonstrations.I strongly recommend attending as many mediumship demonstrations as you can. There’s plenty happening online now these days. It is important to witness different mediums working with the spirit world, and what type of evidence and information they can each provide. Perhaps you’ll find a medium who provides you with inspiration and information that you can use to help you in your own development. Plus you’ll be able to experience the knowledge that the spirit world is so extremely near to us! A beginner can also look at some of the quality youtube videos that are available online. This has helped many people learn in their own time in their own space. Tip #2: Read books on the subject. There are some amazing books out there for learning about mediumship that I cannot recommend enough. I want to highlight one book in particular, Droplets of God: The Life and Philosophy of Mavis Pittilla by Suzanne Giesemann.   This is a recent book on the philosophy and time of my teacher.   There are many other books that I can recommend on development.  In addition,  you may want to consider reading some of the older books from years past.  The pioneers of spiritation have had a remarkable time in their era with mediumship development.  Books really do change lives, and they can open up the heart for those learning how to become a medium. Tip #3: Find a good mentor or teacher for yourself. When learning how to become a medium, it’s important to have teachers, take classes, and participate in demonstrations to find a teacher that suits you. Once you find that teacher, try to stick with them as your mediumship flourishes. I am fortunate to have Mavis Pittilla as my teacher for the past six years.  Tip #4: Participate in circles for development. There are many development circles in which to practice your connection to spirit. A development circle is where you would get together and practice with others who are also interested in their own development. Circles date back to the early ages of 1800s, and possibly before. Try searching for some online or joining some in Facebook groups. The connections you make there will last a lifetime and there’s so much you can glean when developing mediumship, plus you will probably find numerous other tips for mediumship beginners in them. Good luck! The road to development is a rewarding and also challenging one. If you have any questions about my tips for mediumship beginners, please contact me.

Are you being held back from doing mediumship readings for others?

This is a very interesting question when it comes to doing mediumship readings for others. What holds us back from doing something that we absolutely love, that brings us fulfilment and also helps others? Simply put, it’s fear of the unknown! It is fear that often drives many of us away from doing something that brings joy. This could easily be applied to anything – fear in our work, in our creativity or even in our education. It is very difficult to experience such fear, and many of us have indeed experienced it with the things we love!    Imagine being a singer and standing up in a large auditorium, singing for the first time in front of others. It must be quite scary! I look at the young individuals on the series The Voice and I commend them for their ability to stand up and sing in front of so many, conquering their fears. We as an audience don’t often see the fear, the hesitation, or the challenges that they’re up against when the contestants stand up in front of a live Network audience and television viewers. Many need to work through their fear to have success in their lives and overcome fear of performance. They’ve had to work through their anxiety to get to where they are. I appreciate their willingness to break through to become the true spirit that they are. The spirit is amazing when we allow ourselves to grow and exist in our natural way.   Why We Might Fear Doing Mediumship Readings For Others When doing mediumship readings for others, it is much the same thing; as we begin to develop and enhance the skills necessary for being a professional medium, there is a fear that is often attached to coming out as a medium and being visible to others. We have fears of becoming known, or in the practice of mediumship, fears of not being “good enough.”    We have fears due to lack of mediumship and psychic training, and fear of providing a reading for somebody that is not resonating with the sitter. With doing mediumship readings for others, there are fears about not being able to connect with spirit because we don’t want to be wrong.  As mediums, we don’t want to look like we are inadequate, tired, or unknowledgeable about the spirit world. I can understand this; it was in my early days of development that I was fearful of pulling up a chair with somebody to provide an experimental reading. We practiced by doing psychic and mediumship readings for each other.  When we sit across and have little to provide, a reader can feel inadequate, unable to connect, and definitely fearful of doing additional sittings going forward. I’ve had this experience in my early days when I began doing mediumship readings for others. I often looked at the sitter, gazed into their eyes, assessed where they were at and tried to provide a reading. One of the things that often happens is that we’re very hard on ourselves. We’re hard on what we said, what we felt or the information that we’ve provided to the sitter.   If you consider the contestants on The Voice, do you think that each person had an easy time when they were developing? It’s not easy for anybody to do their true calling, overcome fear of performance, or to find that love of spirit and want to continue with the hard work it takes to become a professional. Each person on The Voice has a dream of becoming a professional singer. Much like people who are developing as mediums, it takes work, dedication and trust.   How To Overcome Lack Of Confidence As A Medium I feel that the most significant impact for mediumship development is about trust. In fact, development is about trust completely! It’s about trusting that the spirit will be there to provide you the information, blend with you, and trust for a strong connection to the spirit world for the sitter. It’s trust in yourself that you can do the work and do it honestly and ethically. Trust and dedication leads to success for a professional medium, and more cionfidence when doing mediumship readings for others. I talked about fear in the beginning – it is a real thing in a mediumship. Many mediums, if not most, experience it. It is difficult to overcome and many people give up before the spirit draws a person back into the work. Fear is very difficult to overcome in life in general; it occurs in many different fields, but with practice, dedication and trust, and allowing your soul to guide you, you can do very well in mediumship if this is a field of work that you are called to do. All I can say is practice. Work with trusted people and get to know the spirit world and yourself well enough so that you’re confident each time you sit down with a person, you will have a spirit with you. It is the most gratifying reward that I can encourage people to pursue if there’s an interest in mediumship development. I’m always available via email if anybody wants to send me a quick note about fear, development or ask about any ideas that I may have to overcome your fear. Warm wishes to you!

How Mediumship Affects Your Life

It’s always interesting to share details about how mediumship affects your life, because it’s different for everyone. While there are challenges, there are also benefits of being a medium as it can have a positive impact on your life overall. When we look at something new, we like to ask others for their reviews on anything new. It is in this research that we often become more engaged and interested in a given subject. With mediumship and the afterlife, it is great that we want to research it. It is through understanding how mediumship affects your life that we begin to understand and have an appreciation for the spirit world.   For myself, mediumship had a positive effect on my life. In the beginning of my development, I loved touching each book that I read; I loved googling information on the spirit world and mediumship, and attending development circles. What I appreciated the most was meeting new people and individuals who had the same interest as myself.   The individuals were all unique and interesting. We all had very different backgrounds, upbringings and interests.  However, we had one thing in common – a love for the spirit world. We were genuinely very interested in learning about our soul and spirit, and the soul in the spirit world.  It was during the learning process that I felt such a positive impact on myself and my mediumship development, and I began to understand how mediumship affects your life.  The thing that is most interesting and often what most mediums experience when it comes to the benefits of being a medium is, in the early stages of my development, I found myself questioning areas of my life and friends, which led to me questioning if I was on the right path in life. It is through this line of questioning that a shift occurred, and an appreciation of a larger, grander world of the spirit grew.  Through learning about spirit world communication and how mediumship affects your life, one comes to understand that there are many forms of mediumship such as healing, spirit art, demonstrations, private sittings, and trance, to name a few. These are some of the disciplines within the healing arts of mediumship. There was much soul searching that occurred for me when entering into the hearing arts of mediumship. And because of my mediumship development and knowledge, a lot of areas in my life have changed for the better. As I continued through my development of attending circles, church services, and practicing online, I frequently thought about mediumship and how to fit it into my life. I continued to expand my learnings and keep widening my knowledge about the spirit world. However, I must indicate that developing as a medium can be quite difficult mentally for some.   Challenges Around How Mediumship Affects Your Life Working with mediumship, psychic practices and development circles can be quite difficult. One of the challenges of how mediumship affects your life can happen when providing information to a sitter, and the response is discouraging.  For instance, receiving a ‘No’ from a sitter when the medium wanted a ‘Yes!’  Depending on the response, it may be off-putting, either to the sitter or medium, and it can also deflate a person. Humans want to be right. Our minds congratulate us on being right. However, when we are incorrect, it can be very taxing on your confidence and values.  Another concern that is often raised is the difficulty one experiences if one is very analytical or constantly seeking perfection. When doing readings, it’s not that easy to have a perfect reading every single time or to have excellent accuracy. You can imagine how it would make a medium feel to hear ‘No, that information is incorrect’ when the medium genuinely wants things to be perfect for the sitter. This area of development can sometimes knock a medium off their chair, but if a medium can get through these inner struggles, there is much reward. Slowly, the ‘No’ response will reduce and the ‘Yes’ response will increase. For myself, it was quite a rocky road to learning the different techniques, sensations and feelings because each one of us is different and we must all explore and learn about our own sensations and capabilities. This is all part of how mediumship affects your life in many ways. My capabilities and sensitivity are not the same as any other medium. A medium’s skills develop differently according to different teachers, and our sensitivity also varies from medium to medium. When faced with perfectionism and ‘No’ responses, a medium must work through those challenging times to become more professional and confident. If a medium is not able to work through the negativity or lack of confidence, there will be a negative effect on the reading and the soul.       The Benefits of Being A Medium There are so many benefits of being a medium. I love mediumship! I have gained so much respect for myself, the spirit world, and the Earth in general. Mediumship has provided me a much deeper understanding of the world of the spirit. It has shown me how much love there is for all of us on Earth, and it has shown me amazing evidence of survival after death. I have seen mediums demonstrate amazing spirit art, and witnessed healing trance demonstrations. In fact all forms of mediumship are healing, both to the medium and to the sitter.   In terms of how mediumship affects your life, mediumship has taught me more about the human soul and the power the soul has to carry us through the darkest times of our lives. It’s taught me about the spirit that ignites our beautiful soul and the beauty of life itself. I look at things much differently now, and my world is at peace. Mediumship brings peace for the sitter and the medium; there is peace when the sitter receives the evidential aspect of mediumship, and there is peace when the medium feels, sees

Did I have any childhood experiences with the spirit world?

As a spiritual medium and psychic, you may wonder if I had any childhood experiences with the spirit world while growing up. This is always a remarkably interesting question because each of us is a unique individual and we will have all different experiences with spirit. For some, these experiences happen early in life while others happened quite late in life.  Each one of us has a varying different level of sensitivity to spirit, our own spirit, and the spirit world.  When gathering with some of my mediumship friends, we sometimes discuss what our first encounters were of the spirit world. For me, it happened much later in life. I was a busy mom and businessperson. I did not have time to digest or even consider a spirit world. The thought of a spirit world or a person passing over was so difficult for me, after losing my brother in 1990.  Years passed and I continued to be busy working and minding my way through life until several pivotal events occurred. Due to these events, I started down the road of mediumship inquiry and understanding of the spirit world.   Even though mediums can have childhood experiences with the spirit world, a large portion of my mediumship acquaintances give a consensus that their awareness and development of the spirit world started during their adult years, like myself. And in fact, these friends in particular expressed they did not have childhood experiences with the spirit world, also like myself. However, for some of my medium friends, they did have childhood experiences with the spirit world. But then, the sensitivity of spirit would often subside during their teens and young adult life, only to resurface later when the time was right.  What do I mean by ‘childhood experiences with the spirit world’? You may be wondering what exactly I’m talking about when I refer to childhood experiences with the spirit world. I’m not referring to any sort of paranormal experience in the pop culture sense, like seeing ghosts or growing up in a haunted house. I’m talking about experiences where a child has an increased sensitivity – seeing, feeling, and hearing through their senses. A child has the time and ability to relax and feel deeply, and these feelings can lead to the awareness of spirit.  Sometimes there is a correlation where individuals who come into mediumship often do so because of difficulties and loss in their life, sometimes from childhood or early adult life. Through these difficult and even traumatic events, it allows the spirit to awaken.   My daughter, around the age of six or seven, spoke of a young spirit lady who communicated with her. The spirit lady’s name was something like Aleasa. The guidance I was given by a Spiritualist minister at the time was not to overact, but to just accept and see what happens.  Over time, the discussions subsided which worked well for our family. Each family of course is different, and you must do what you believe is correct for you.      For those who have a child with sensitivity to spirit – maybe their grandpa or grandmother – it is best not to dismiss it and not to overreact either, as these situations may create overly concerned reactions from those the child trusts, like their mom and dad.   If you have a child who is sensitive, it is my suggestion just to accept that they have a beautiful friend, and they may talk about someone who has a name and personality. There is nothing to fear when it comes to the spirit world; it is a loving and caring world.

Why do I have dreams about deceased loved ones?

I believe it is possible to communicate with spirits in dreams, and so I was asked recently: what does it mean to have dreams about deceased loved ones? This is a great question. I have experienced and do believe that we can communicate in our dreams with individuals who have passed – our family, friends, and pets. In my experience when I have dreams about deceased loved ones, they show themselves quite vividly, often healthy looking and with much love.  In particular, there are two dreams I’ve had that stand out for me. Both dreams were very impactful; one was of my brother, and the other of my grandfather. When my brother came to see me years ago in my dream – well before I became a medium – he arrived as a bright vibrant person wearing a bright white shirt and jeans, almost glowing in his appearance. In the dream, he loaded my luggage into the back of an Aerostar van (that’s an old one!) and told me telepathically that I was going to be okay.   I have shortened the full extent of the dream, but the message there was that I was changing, life was changing for me and he was helping me pack up and he was there to support me. I always knew this was his spirit communicating with me and a few years later I understood the significance of it.  When my grandfather came to me in a dream, I did not recognize him it until it was morning. He had his 50’s glasses on, and we were flying over our small town. Then we were in Disneyland and I was lost sitting on the side street with so many people.  He was right beside me.  He gave me a teddy bear and told me that I would be okay.  Again, there is much more to this, however the result of my grandfather coming to see me was that I was lost, and I would find my way.  At the time this was in fact true for me, and I can see why I would get a teddy bear from my grandfather.   My grandfather was so young and energized, lovely to see, and his facial features were the same but youthful and plump.  Both spirits were both supporting me in a none-verbal way and providing me with information about my life.  They didn’t necessarily communicate with me in my dream as one would expect; instead, they were a presence and they communicated through their eyes and thoughts. Both assisted with enlightening me about the meaning of my life. They also showed me my struggles, and what opportunities were in store for my future.   Do you have dreams about deceased loved one? If you have dreams about deceased loved ones, this is what I call a Visitation dream, and you may find that these dreams are quite different than our “normal” action packed dreams, or typical scary dreams, or other challenges and adventures that we encounter in our dreams. Some dreams we wake up and we wonder what was that all about! The dreams I had of my brother and grandfather were Visitation dreams. There are also dreams that are different than Visitation or regular dreams, where we may receive information from our higher consciousness. I call these Subconscious dreams. I’ll give you an example. I dreamed once that my teacher gave me a plump, beautiful, healthy, pig. Yes, she gave me a pig in my dreams!   But when I woke in the morning, I could not figure out why this pig was given to me.  It was a startling dream to say the least.  However, when I looked up the meaning of pigs in dreams, I found that a pig is often a sign of change, generally good ones. Especially if the pig is healthy, you might experience some new business success or career progress.  Isn’t that awesome! And in fact – this dream came about during my mediumship training and unfolding into something more, so I now look back on my beautiful pig as an inspiration of positive change.    I believe that there is a big difference between Subconscious dreams where you connect with your higher self, and Visitation dreams, where you may have dreams about deceased loved ones. The difference is in the vividness and the absolute beauty of our deceased loved ones during a Visitation dream. When our loved one comes to see us in dreams, it is often during a time in our life when we need their help.  But man, oh man, they are the most beautiful dreams! Because you can feel them right with you right with you.  Once a person wakes up from dreams about deceased loved ones, there is often a feeling of knowing that your family was with you. I have met others who were slightly shaken because of the vividness and they didn’t really know if it was their family spirit or not.  After listening to their stories and their experience, it is often with gratitude and thankfulness that I can assure them that a loved one was with them in their dreams. So, to answer the post’s question of what does it mean to have dreams about deceased loved ones – it means that your family is with you, and they are sending you love and support at a time in your life when you need it most. And they may even enlighten you about other things like your purpose, your struggles, or what’s to come in the future for you. On the other hand, I believe some of our “regular” dreams are our higher selves telling us something about our lives that is about to happen, or our higher self is coming to us at a time when we are working through difficulties and change in our lives. When our family visits us in dreams about deceased loved ones, it feels very real,  amazingly vivid, and a connection that unlike any

How To Avoid Mediumship and Psychic Scams

Have you ever considered going to a medium or psychic, but are reluctant to do so because you are unsure about their ethics and validity? It is easy to be concerned as many of us want to avoid mediumship and psychic scams; we don’t want to have our vulnerability compromised by someone we don’t know. However, I do believe in the work psychics and mediums do for the healing of others. And I do believe there are far more gifted and kind psychics and mediums available than not.    In my early days of learning about mediumship and psychic work, I wanted to see mediums and psychics in action for myself, so I could start gaining my own knowledge. I wanted to find out how they work, how does it feel, what type of information they would provide to me. There were times that I had some hesitancy because you are never quite sure of their reputation, skills, or ability. Unfortunately, mediumship and psychic scams are out there. My Experience With Readings That Didn’t Go Well For the most part, mediums are extremely honest, caring, and try very hard to please the client and the spirit world. However, I do recall once when I was travelling, I came upon a store that had mediums and psychics. I booked an appointment and met with a lady to do a psychic and mediumship reading. At that time, I was fascinated by mediums and psychics, and did not know anything about how to avoid mediumship or psychic scams, but I felt it would be a good experience. During the reading though, I answered too many questions and provided too much information about my life. I felt that the reading was more about the psychic giving me guidance after I provided the information. There was really nothing new, nothing enlightening, and nothing that was evidential in her reading. It was disheartening because I paid quite a bit of money with the exchange rate at the time. I left without feeling uplifted, and never remembered or retained any information from the reading. Did the medium know that she was not giving me correct or helpful information? I do not know. I do feel though that she genuinely believed in her heart that she was giving me good information that I could use in my situation at the time. While this lady may not have been a psychic scammer exactly, there was an underlying feeling that I had paid for something that was subpar.   A few years prior in the late 80s, I met a psychic in a travelling circus that came to our town. Nervous, I attempted to secure a reading and was successful. I was quite young at the time, and the psychic said that I would find two gentlemen right away, one of which would become my husband, but I would need to pick one from the two to marry. At the time as a young lady, it sounded great. Looking back now though, it was definitely far-fetched! As time went on, there was no blonde haired gentleman, nor did I have to pick between two. Thinking about the reading now, she was likely giving me information that she felt I wanted to hear. This is part of the danger with psychic scams; they tell people what they want to hear rather than what they need to hear. I believe some mediums who do not take training may work in the same way. Some may try to push encouraging information upon a sitter, and this is what happened to me at the circus. However, not all mediums and psychics are of this caliber. This is only my own personal experience and it is a very early one. Tips To Avoid Mediumship And Psychic Scams Why is it that some people are concerned or scared to see a psychic or medium? Well, it doesn’t help that we have all seen television shows sometimes portraying psychics as scammers, or even detective shows that talk about scammers in the psychic and mediumship environment. We have also heard of people that had subpar readings and felt they had been scammed when they paid for their reading, similar to my experiences. I have a few important suggestions to make that will help you to avoid mediumship and psychic scams. Firstly, if you go to a medium and give several ‘No’ answers to things they ask, or if the medium asks a lot of questions, then there is a possibility the medium is not connected with you, and you need to consider if the reading is of benefit to yourself. In life we do not get along with every person we meet, and in mediumship it’s the same. There are times that a sitter and reader do not mesh well together, and that is understandable. This does not mean a scam has taken place, rather, it is just two people who may not work well with each other. For myself as a reader, if this occurs, then a full refund is provided to the client.   When trying to avoid mediumship and psychic scams, another tip is to ensure that you do not engage in excessive conversation during the reading. I suggest you only say ‘Yes,’ ‘No,’ or ‘I don’t know.’ Other than that, you should not provide detailed information to the psychic or medium.    The reason being is, if a sitter only uses ‘Yes,’ ‘No,’ or ‘I don’t know’ then the medium has more time to work. Also, it discourages the medium and sitter getting caught up in a side conversation. Any side conversations between the sitter and medium takes away from the spirit world, or the medium’s connection with the sitter’s soul. It is the responsibility of the medium to provide information to you in an ethical, honest, and evidential manner. All your readings should be evidence-based. Evidence-based readings are readings that have true knowledge about the sitter’s experiences that nobody else would know, evidence of your life or the ones that have passed.  When

Negative Encounters With The Spirit World | Do they happen?

In life, we often think about scary movies that leave an impact on us.  We begin to wonder about scary moments or negative encounters with the spirit world after watching crazy horror movies.  Sometimes people ask me if I’ve ever had any negative encounters with the spirit world, and the answer may surprise you. We all have scary dreams, or sometimes even ominous experiences where one might believe the spirit world is to blame. But in my experience of being a spiritual medium, I have actually never had a negative encounter with the spirit world. Not before, during or after a reading. It simply does not happen because that is not how the spirit world works! When we pass over, it is hard to believe that we would want to come back and scare our living family members, cause distress, or create havoc to our loved ones.   Although – I am sure some of us with a more joking attitude would love to ‘haunt’ our family, but that is not how it works. My teacher, Mavis Pittilla, is a great teacher and mentor, and is well regarded in the spiritualist community. It is my understanding that Mavis has not encountered a negative experience while communicating with the spirit world – and she has been a medium for over 50 years. This information, along with all of my co-mediums who say the same thing, tells me that having negative encounters with the spirit world simply does not happen. Where does our perception of negative encounters with the spirit world come from then? This is a good question, because if you really think about it, why would a family member come back only to be violent? Your answer may be the usual things – the person was murdered, or had a violent life, or they want revenge. But these are merely cliches and perceptions created by the media. Pop culture, media and films have planted numerous ideas about negative encounters with the spirit world, primarily for entertainment value. In addition, some religious organizations also speak ill of this type of communication and portray it in a very negative light. But in reality, the way a person lived or passed on does not create a malevolent nature when they communicate from the spirit world. Being scared of having negative encounters with the spirit world is really about our own fears. As awareness of spiritual communication and love from the spirit world evolves and more people become accustomed to the consideration of life after death, the fear will reduce within ourselves.  The spirit world really is full of love, and it’s a universal love that has no part in violent, scary, or negative communications with us. I have no fear whatsoever when sitting down with a client and connecting. But I do have a belief that we sometimes manufacture a lot of fear. Fear is part of the fabric of who we are. Every human is afraid of something, especially if it’s ‘the unknown.’   We become fearful when we do not understand something, and it can lead one to think that negative encounters with the spirit world can happen. A good example is when someone gets on an airplane for the first time, not really understanding how they work or not really believing fully that they’ll be ok. However, over time and with enough flights under our belts, the fear reduces. This is very much the same when a person comes to a medium for the first time. We are a society that has a lot of fear, and I understand that. But remember that sometimes ideas of scary things get manufactured, just by our own thoughts, and our own unsureness of the unknown.  So, if I can leave you with a thought of love, it is that the spirit world is full of love, and if they decide to communicate with us, they are going to communicate that love and how much they miss us and care for us, and that they are still with us.If you have any questions or concerns about having a spiritual reading, please contact me.
